in Manipur University, Imphal. He specialises in agriculture
and macroeconomics. Currently, he is engaged in studying
the colonial history of Manipur.
E. Bijoykumar Singh is
Professor of Economics at Manipur University. He was
a member of Manipur State Planning Board and a consultant
to the National Institute of Public Finance and Policy
Study on fiscal reforms in Manipur. He contributed in
the preparation of the Manipur Human Development Report.
The professor specialises in Econometrics and Public

M. Iboton Singh is
former professor of Economics at Manipur University.
Currently, he is a member of the Manipur State Planning
Board. Earlier, he served as a member of the 2nd State
Finance Commission. A former Fulbright Fellow, he specialises
in Development Economics.
Gulshan Sachdeva is Associate
Professor at the Centre for European Studies, School
of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University.
Earlier, he taught and researched at the Hungarian Academy
of Sciences, Budapest, University of Delhi and Centre
for Policy Research, New Delhi. He specialises in European
economic integration, transition economies and Northeast

Amar Yumnam is Professor
of Economics at Manipur University. He is currently
Vice-President of North-East Economic Association. He
was a member of the State Planning Board and a consultant
to the World Bank Study of Infrastructure in Manipur.

Research Scholar at the Department of Sociology, Delhi
