Utpola Borah is a musicologist and an independent researcher. Having received doctoral degree from University of Delhi, she has been working in the field of ethnomusicology, and is also a trained archivist. She has extensively worked on Bihu music and festival in Assam. She is also a performing artist in the Hindustani classical music.
